Dragonflyers Trampoline club enjoyed a clean sweep at Team Lightning’s invitational competition in Southampton.

In their first competition of the season, all 13 performers came away unbeaten by any other club - gaining 16 gold medals and two silver.

Flo Dempster took the first gold in the over-15 C grade with nine somersaults, including full twisting and one-and-a-half twist somersaults in a ten-bounce routine.

Emily Hunt and Giedrius Krymceveus took the over-15 D class, with Hunt and Dempster winning the over-15 elite synchro event.

The gold rush continued with Charlotte Taylor at under-15E, Natalie Pullen at over-15E, Jess Lyne at under-13F, Lee Burgess at over-15G, Anya Johnson at under-13G, Sasha Jenkins at under-11G, Taylor and Karis Pullen in the elite under-15 synchro, and Taylor, Izzy Hauxwell and Eleanor Morton in the under-15E team event.

Morton and Alice Chapman gained silver at under-15E and under-13F.

Trampolining competitions start at novice grade I and progress to international level A, with Flyers competing at G and above.

Having resumed training only three weeks ago after the summer break, Flyers look forward to another successful season in which they hope to see many more performers join team-mates at national level.

Flyers boast a team of highly-qualified coaches and officials.

If you’re interested in joining the Bognor-based club, contact Linda O’Leary on 01243 825015 or go to the Dragonflyers website.
