Giedrius jumps for joy as Dragonflyers soar to success

Giedrius Krymceveus outshone the opposition at the southern region trampolining grades compeition in Southampton.

He won gold in the over-15 boys’ D grade and qualified for national level competition.

Bognor-based Dragonflyers now have four national competitors with two more expected to reach this level by the end of the year.

James Smith took first in the U15 boys’ E grade with a score of more than 52, qualifying him to D grade.

Regional grades start at G working up to D, with C to A being national and international standard.

Nine-year-old Izzy Hauxwell gained silver with her stunning performance in the U13 girls’ F grade and a score of 47 which saw her move up to level E.

Hauxwell, Alice chapman and Jess Lyne also took team silver in the U13 girls’ event.

Karis Pullen and Charlotte Taylor came second in the U15 girls’ regional elite synchro - their first attempt at this event. Natalie Pullen finished fifth in the over-15 girls’ E, narrowly missing qualification to level D.

With six silvers and two golds from a very strong but small team, Flyers coaches were extremely proud.

Flyers thanked the Flying Fortress for raising ÂŁ400 to enable the club to train more volunteers and enable participants to compete all over the UK.
