Rocks boss: We all have to stand united

MICK JENKINS is calling on everyone connected with the Rocks to develop a siege mentality as the club fight relegation.

Weston-super-Mare visit Nyewood Lane on Saturday in a game Jenkins said Bognor had to win to spark a climb out of the Conference South drop zone.

Having lost Gary McDonald, Jamie Whisken and Reggie Savage, Jenkins and his coaching team are working overtime to bring in new recruits on a work-experience basis from league clubs.

The Rocks are also without suspended striker Steffan Gaisie but Jenkins is hoping Jordan Hughes will have recovered from an ankle injury to take his place in attack.

Jenkins said: "It's going to be difficult from now on in. We're in a dogfight but we'll do our best to get out of the bottom three.

"Saturday is a game we've got to win. We'll be trying to get players in and will look to go down the work experience route. We've been highly delighted with Jordan Hughes and Louis Castles from Pompey.

"It'll be tough without Steffan and Jordan likes to play as a second striker, so we need to find ourselves a target man from somewhere."
