Chichester’s under-16 boys continued to lay solid foundations with a 47-0 friendly win at Fareham Heathens.
Chichester comprehensively beat the Hampshire outfit with a dominant display from the pack, combined with some well-worked moves and clinical finishing from the backs to ensure an enthralling win with a touch of class.
They made life difficult for the home team and the game was played entirely within the Heathens half. A few forced errors may have wounded the visitors slightly, but a try after 20 minutes initiated an opposition collapse as the points just kept on coming.
Having broken the Heathens’ line, Chichester’s strong pack became increasingly dominant and a combination of strong rucking and mauling led to a series of forward dominated scores in quick succession.
Despite an injury to Sam Hudson, Chichester kept possession well and the hosts couldn’t live the visitors.
The under-16s entertain Crowborough on Sunday.
