Sussex CCC players have been taking part in cricket roadshows as the local season gets under way.
Sponsored by Santander Corporate Banking, the roadshows were intended to coincide with clubs having their first junior training sessions of the season, with the pros able to inject a bit of extra enthusiasm into early-season proceedings.
Chichester Priory Park were one of the clubs visited and the players got involved with the various coaching drills taking place and signed autographs for all the young players.
Sussex head of cricket development Tim Shutt said: “The players were very keen to get back out to the clubs, given that junior club cricket was an essential part of their own development as players.
“The roadshows also provided further evidence of the close integration between the professional and recreational games in Sussex.
“It showed how much all clubs in the county are valued, regardless of their geography, by virtue of the visits to the far east and west of the county.”
