Bognor Rugby Club kicked off their season with a family fun day which attracted more than 300 people to support the first XV play a friendly against Cranleigh, which they won 33-0.
The mini and youth section proudly presented a cheque to Chestnut Tree House for £350, raised from programme sales at last season’s junior rugby festival at the Hampshire Avenue site. Chestnut Tree was chosen by the mini and youth players.
Parents, supporters and players had a great day in the sun enjoying a barbecue, bouncy castle and live music into the evening.
The mini and youth season started on Sunday with many new players coming along to give rugby a go - and thankfully the sunshine was out again.
Bognor have launched a new-look website and welcome anyone interested in finding out about the club to look at http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/bognorrfc/
Senior rugby is played on Saturday afternoon and is open to all and free to watch, mini and youth rugby is on Sundays from 10am and is open to all ages from five to 18.
The first XV kick off their Hampshire League division one campaign at home to Solent University on Saturday (3pm).
