Wembley is wonderful for five-a-side winners
Chichester team Sons of a Pitch graced the turf at Wembley in the national Finals of the FA Umbro Fives.
After being taken on the England team coach to the England changing rooms, given a kit to keep and parading on the pitch before the national anthem was played, the competition got under way.
Competing were the top 24 five-a-side teams in England.
Some players were from the England Futsol team and others held national titles.
Teams were in groups of four with the top two progressing to the last 16 along with the four best third-placed teams.
Sons of a Pitch started slowly, losing the opening game 2-1 after taking the lead.
They then drew 2-2 and won their final group game 3-1.
Player-manager Jim Leggat said: 'It gives you an idea of how tight the groups were when we lose to the team who came bottom of our group but beat the team who came top.'
Sons of a Pitch finished second in the group, then played last year's competition winners, Real Ballers, in the last 16.
Scott Murfin opened the scoring before Leggat came on as sub and scored to increase the lead. Straight from the kick-off, Real Ballers pulled one back and an unfortunate own-goal drew them level.
Real Ballers took the lead but with the last kick of the game, Leggat equalised to force a penalty shoot-out.
Each team took three spot kicks, but Sons of a Pitch saw two of theirs saved, enough for Real Ballers to clinch the game and knock Sons of a Pitch out.
The eventual winners were the team Sons of a Pitch beat in the group stages.
Leggat added: "All the lads should be very proud of themselves. There wasn't a lot between any of the teams in terms of ability and you just needed that extra rub of the green to go your way to get through.
"We were the only team to beat the overall winners and the whole day was an amazing experience which has given us the determination to get back there again next year."
