Youth football: Keeper is key as Predators warm up well
Manager Andy Miles was impressed with Predators' last warm-up.
Chichester, who last season were promoted to division A, could not find an answer to Predators' rugged determination and effort.
Predators had only 11 boys available, while Chichester had 14.
Predators matched them in every department, for sheer strength, but man of the match Drew Miles was outstanding in goal.
Even after getting winded after a collision with Chichesters main striker, he flew himself across the goal to tip a goalbound shot around the goal.
The official opening of the club's new base, The Predadome, is unveiled at Bognor's university campus on Friday evening, when Predators will be given the FACharter CommunityClub award.
Youth football is back - and the Observer aims to remain No1 for coverage. Send your youth football reports (keep them to about 100 words plus line-ups please) and team pictures to sport@chiobserver.co.uk. Reports should be with us by 5pm Monday if you want them in the same week's paper.
