IT'S hard to miss the charismatic coppers as you walk through the main entrance of Goodwood Revival.
Shaking their batons and controlling the crowds is what they do best, and the 'Period Police Force' even have a TARDIS among their collections of old police cars and motorbikes.

Officer Guy Loveridge said: "We have our TARDIS, the police call box, helps break the ice right here by the main pedestrian entrance so we are the first thing a lot of people see when they arrive at the Revival.

"Especially if they bring their children, at the moment with David Tennant riding high, it's a good thing thing. The number of children who have been in and out of the TARDIS and cant work out why it isn't bigger inside is quite incredible."

The nostalgic police team open the Goodwood motor circuit in the morning and do three laps around it during the course of the day with the 'Mods' and the rockers.

Mr Loveridge said this year we've all been very lucky with the weather.
"It's been fantastic," he added.

"We were all panicking about the weather, giving how wet it's been before, but Lord March has done his usual pact with the devil I think.

"Yesterday (Friday, September 19) it was hot and today we got a cracking sky and sun."
