It was a blast to the past today as thousands of people donned their best outfits for the first day of the Goodwood Revival.
Warm, sunny weather greeted festival-goers for this popular event which is celebrating its tenth year.
Marilyn Monroe was mingling with the crowds, while visitors picnicked on the lawns and sipped champagne.
The popular Revival market, which has been extended for this year, was doing brisk trade from those looking for that essential vintage accessory while children had fun playing in the vintage fun fair.
Veteran drivers Derek Bell and Stirling Moss will be in action on the track this weekend while tomorrow evening (Saturday), a special evening race will take place to celebrate the 60th anniversary of racing at Goodwood.
Over the weekend visitors will be able to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the 1940s, 50s and 60s from the clothes to the cars, the food and the music.
There will be plenty to see in the sky as well, with several air displays featuring a Spitfire and a Mustang. On Sunday, spectators will have the rare opportunity to see and hear a pre-1966 jet-powered Vulcan bomber when it roars across the sky to celebrate Goodwood's 60th anniversary.
