Gig-goers in Chichester were surprised to find themselves rubbing shoulders with Harry Potter star Rupert Grint.

The actor, who played Ron Weasley in the hit film series, was at a concert at the University of Chichester’s Zee Bar on Saturday, September 21, to support his sister, Samantha Grint, who performs under the name Ghost of Samantha.

Henry Maybury, a singer/ songwriter who organised the sell-out gig, said it was fantastic to see a Hollywood celebrity at the students’ union bar.

“The gig was brilliant and it was a great crowd,” he said. “The new people of Chichester really made me feel welcome on stage.”

Henry, whose debut single Lost days, about his brother Tom who recently died, is soon to be released, is pictured with Rupert Grint and pianist George Fradley backstage after the performance.
