TWO charities are set to benefit from a fun, family dog show in Fishbourne.
The first Dogs Galore event will be held at St Peter and St Mary Church on Monday (July 15), raising money for the St Peter Project and The Cinnamon Trust.
The St Peter Project aims to raise money to build a new church hall while The Cinnamon Trust helps owners and their dogs stay together.
Entrance is £5 for family entrance, when accompanied by at least one dog, although a photograph of one dearly departed or cuddly companion will be accepted.
Tickets include entrance into all competitions.
The show is open from 5pm to 8pm.
Anyone who would like to be entered for a special prize for the dog which looks most similar to its companion should take along a photograph of their canine companion on the day.
Special guests will include Pet Doctors veterinary practice, Louie Adshead from Train that Dog and Chichester District Council.
There will also be representatives for medical detection dogs, including ten-year-old Gemma, from Fishbourne, with her diabetes-detecting dog, Polo.
Sussex Police will be recording the fastest dogs with their speed cameras.
There will also be an arts competition for children entitled This is My Dog.
Entries can be a drawing, painting or photograph of the child’s favourite thing about their dog.
They can be taken along on the day for display and judging or delivered to Sandra Westacott at 82 Fishbourne Road West prior to the event.
