EIGHT aspiring actors are being sought to tread the boards in Bexhill Amateur Theatrical Society’s (BATS) autumn production of 84, Charring Cross Road.
Director Peter Bradbury says BATS welcome new faces to the open reading and audition, adding: “Many will have seen the film starring Anthony Hopkins and Anne Bancroft. It was based on this lovely play which tracks transatlantic correspondence between a book collector in New York, and the manager and staff of an antiquarian bookshop in London. It follows in a very human way the developing relationships between the characters, and the events in their lives.”
The reading is at 7.30pm on Monday June 17, and the audition is at 10.30am on Saturday June 22, both at BATS HQ, Granary Barn, Broadoak Park. Performances will be November 22-24. Call 01424 439008 or see: www.thebats.co.uk
