A possible break in, three arrests following car thefts and injuries after an attack are all crimes police in Worthing need help with this week.
Possible burglary

POLICE are sending a glove off for forensic testing after it was found at the scene of a possible break in.

A manager working at the Tesco garage in New Road, Durrington, called police on Monday, June 30, just before midnight after the building's alarm went off.

The manager discovered the rear fire exit had been forced open, although nothing had been taken.

Police believe the intruder left after hearing the alarm.

A glove found at the scene is now being forensically tested.

Car thefts

POLICE have arrested three men in connection with thefts from cars.

A red Peugeot was stopped by police in Steyne Gardens at 4.19am on Tuesday, July 1.

The car was searched and items were found which police believe could be property stolen from other vehicles.

The three men inside the car, who are thought to be Russian, were arrested and are helping police with their enquiries.

Attack

A MAN was in hospital this week with serious injuries, including a fractured skull, after an attack in Worthing.

Police were called to a fight which started in Marine Parade, near the Burlington Hotel, at 1.15am on Sunday, June 29.

By the time police intervened, the fight, which involved a group of four men, had moved to Shakespeare Road.

One man was "seriously injured" in the attack, which police described as "prolonged".

He was taken to Worthing Hospital suffering from hairline fractures to the skull and bleeding on the brain.

Police are now examining CCTV footage and are appealing for witnesses to the attack.

Arguement

A MAN was knocked to the ground in an unprovoked attack in Broadwater.

Police were called to the Citroen garage in Broadwater Road at 3.25am on Friday, June 27, where an argument had broken out between three males.

One of the men was knocked to the ground. The other two men are described as white, with short dark hair and wearing white t-shirts.

One man was skinny and 5ft 11in tall.

The other was stocky and 5ft 9in in height.
