YOUNGSTERS crowded around to see a new basketball court opened in Worthing.
Worthing Thunder player Demetrius Scott cut the ribbon in Chiltern Crescent on Tuesday, March 18.

Worthing councillor Hazel Thorpe said: "The opening was a great event. It was really nice to see children of all ages there.

"They have been saying they just want somewhere to play that is safe."

The court was the idea of local lads John Aggrey and Ezra and Luke Stenning who worked with Esther Clark from West Sussex Interact Detached Youth Work Project.

Further improvements to the area are planned.
