Consultation begins over 180 new homes and medical centre in Willingdon
Danescroft is behind the plans to build on the 16 acre Hindsland site off Eastbourne Road in Willingdon.
It is proposing one, two and three bedroom homes across the site, including bungalows with the access onto the main road, Eastbourne Road.

A spokesperson for Danescroft said, “The site is allocated for development, in the Wealden District Council Core Strategy. Therefore, the council has accepted that the site is a suitable and sustainable location for accommodating much needed housing.
“We welcome views on our proposals, which include up to 180 new open market and affordable homes, including bungalows, as well as a brand-new medical centre set within an attractive landscaped setting.
“These new homes will help to meet the demand for housing both in Willingdon and Polegate, but also across the district.

Previously the parcel of land was part of a larger application of 700 homes, a primary school and medical centre which was repeatedly turned down by the council and a planning inspector.
The latest plans are available to view at www.hindslandwillingdon.co.uk or by calling a member of the project team on 0800 689 5209 and asking for a copy to be posted.
The consultation period is open until Wednesday February 24.
