Southern Rail commuters face continued delays as strike ends
Hundreds of thousands of commuters were forced to find alternative travel or to work from home on Monday and Tuesday as all services were cancelled.
Train drivers have returned to work today before another 24-hour strike tomorrow – but Southern has warned that due to disruption caused by the walkout and an ongoing overtime ban, it is operating a reduced timetable today.

Hide AdThe dispute about driver-only trains and the role of conductors has thus far been between Govia Thameslink Railway and conductors led by the RMT union, but this week has seen the first strike by train drivers.
Around 300,000 passengers usually travel on 2,242 Southern services every weekday.
