A-levels: Star man Alex is off to Cambridge

The results, which saw 99 per cent of students earn a passing grade, were described as “a testament to the hard work of students and staff” as well as the continued support from parents.
Some 71 per cent of students earned grades A*-C, 43 per cent received A*-B and 17 per cent A*-A.

Hide AdTop of the tree was Alex Lipov who, with four A*’s and one A, has secured a place at Cambridge University to study Natural Sciences.
Headteacher Michael Ferry, said: “At a time of continuous change in education there is now more pressure on students and teachers than ever before.
“I feel so proud of the outstanding achievements that our students have made with their hard work over the least two years.
“The support which they have been given by their teachers have been tremendous and by working together it just shows what can be achieved.
