New parking monitors at a Bognor Regis school

The WeeMees, a boy and a girl, are dressed in the colours of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School with the school logo and act as a deterrent against parking illegally.
The characters have proved popular as an innovation in the struggle to stop parents pulling up outside its Glamis Street premises.

Hide AdA school spokesman said: “It is hoped that our two WeeMees, by providing a child-sized reminder to all drivers, will assist in preventing an accident outside the school.”
The school’s junior road safety officers work hard all year thinking up new strategies to make conditions safer.
