Strictly Gardening for Lindfield schoolgirl Sarah
Sarah, seven, painted a picture of a Rainbow Fruit Tree and won the top award which was presented to her by new mayor of Haywards Heath Cllr Sandy Ellis and Strictly Sponsor Nicola Bird of the Orchards Shopping Centre.
Sarah is a pupil at Lindfield Primary School and won a planter for her school and a £10 Waterstones voucher for herself. She chose the blossom tree to paint “because it is pretty and I love the many shades of pink”.

The competition was judged by the Lord Lieutenant of Sussex, Susan Pyper and the High Sheriff Patrick Burgess.
Nicola Bird said: “The judges had such a difficult task trying to pick the winner from some quite brilliant paintings so the winners deserve all the accolades they get. Well done Sarah and Anna! We’re already planning Strictly 2014 and have loads of ideas for our next Schools’ Challenge.”
