Bid to tackle housing need in Arun
Shelter wants the individuals to have their say about the best way to provide a supply of social housing. It has produced a booklet, available at libraries, to explain the situation.
More than 3,000 households are on Arun District Council's housing waiting list. Too few properties are being built to cope with the demand.

Hide AdArun is working with the district's local strategic partnership to establish a specialist housing partnership and a public panel which will feed into it.
This partnership will comprise representatives from housing association partners, private landlords, developers and voluntary groups as well as the district council to shape future provision of housing across the district.
Karen Stalbow, Shelter's senior regional campaign officer for the south east, said: "Most people acknowledge there is a desperate shortage of affordable housing in Arun and that we urgently need to find innovative and effective ways to solve it."
Potential panel members should contact [email protected] by email.
