Burwash
Coffee: lso tomorrow there will be coffee, cakes crafts and christmas, a fund raising event for The Kit Wilson Trust for animal welfare. It is being held at Drumrunie, Upper Greenwood lane, Punnetts Town tomorrow from 10 am to 4pm. The Longley family would be delighted to see you. Just follow the balloons to find them .
Fireworks: The Burwash bonfire society will be staging their annual Bonfire & fireworks tomorrow evening at the Swan Meadow playing fields in Ham Lane. This is a safe family event and it begins at 7pm. There will be a big bonfire, music with DJ, Professional fireworks and a halloween fancy dress with great prizes for the best. Admission is free but donations will help to keep this event going, so do give generously. Food and drink will be on sale too. Parking will not be available on the field so please park on the highstreet or better still walk. Don’t forget to make sure your pets are safe before you leave home.

Hide AdWalk: he next walk for strollers will take place on Wednesday morning leaving the Bear car park at 9am. This walk is for those who enjoy walking in the countryside but can’t manage the stiff walks and like a gentle amble with like minded people instead. Ijon Jenner will guide you as you join friends and enjoy the fresh air and exercise. Call Jon on 01435 882045 for further details.
Whist: The next monthly whist drive will take place on Thursday evening at 7pm in the Burwash Village hall. New players are always welcome to come along and join in this very easy going friendly evening. Players of all abilities are welcome, partners are not necessary as we move from table to table as the evening progresses. Entry is £3 and includes light refreshments. Prizes for highest & second highest and lowest scoring man and lady at the end of the evening. Parking is available in the Catholic church car park opposite the hall.
Bowls: Last week the Burwash short mat bowls club had their league match away to Hadlow Down, the first time they had played there for many years. It was a friendly evening which saw both the Burwash triples winning and the pairs losing, this gave both teams four league points. The club’s next match is away to Herstmoncuex on Friday. New players are always welcome to come along and join us. Whether you have played before or never picked up a wood. Tuition is available and equipment can be borrowed. Just go along on Monday evening from 6.30pm. we will be pleased to see you.
