Last week, the County Times revealed plans to build a multiplex, four restaurants and a large new retail unit in Swan Walk shopping centre.
Ray Dawe (Con, Chantry) said the scheme would ‘further increase the vibrancy of Horsham town centre’ but stressed the proposal will be thoroughly considered by councillors.

“The development would expand the town’s leisure and culture offering, giving residents and visitors a wider choice of how to spend their time.
“We will need to consider all aspects of the proposal when the planning application is made and we will consult in due course with interested parties, local businesses and residents to get feedback.”
A two-day public consultation was held in the shopping centre on Friday and Saturday, where residents were able to quiz developers about the project.

Swan Walk centre manager Gill Buchanan said she hoped the restaurants, cinema and store will open in October 2019.
