Cracking up: condition of A27 deteriorates while debates go on

Hide AdCllr Mike Hall said that unless some serious money was spent on the road now by the Highways Agency 'we will not have an A27 before the consultation is finished'.
The county council should make sure the agency had a budget to show how to keep the road properly maintained before the major improvements were carried out.
Committee chairman Cllr Phillip Coote said there were fissures at some A27 roundabouts which were so big you could put your fingers into them.
"The whole of the roundabouts coming into Chichester are absolutely dreadful," he said.
