Ringmer assaults: Uckfield man charged after police receive report of man with knife outside pub

Police said that Walter Doe, 33, of Keld Close, Uckfield, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and threatening a person with a blade / sharply pointed article in a public place.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “It comes after police received a report of a man with a knife outside The Cock Inn on Old Uckfield Road on 7 October. The suspect was reported to have hit one man in the face and driven at another, causing an injury to his arm, before fleeing the scene in a VW Golf.

Hide Ad“Officers attended and carried out extensive area searches, but with no trace of the suspect. Enquiries continued and two days later on 9 October, Doe was arrested. He has since been charged and remanded in custody to appear at court on 8 November.”
