Cycling group set to launch for over-55s
An informal planning meeting will be held at the Dingemans Centre, in Shooting Field, on Wednesday, February 19, at 3.30pm.
Anyone aged over 55 can attend and no cycling experience is necessary, just an interest in cycling.

Hide AdDonna Bailey, older people’s service manager, said: “The group will be led by experienced cyclists and the routes will include the chance to have a cup of coffee on the way.
“This new group promises lots of fun, fitness and a chance to meet new people.”
Refreshments will be provided at the planning meeting.
The centre also has a new tai chi class, which started on Thursday at Maidment Court in Henfield.
Classes are led by a qualified tai chi instructor, from 11am to midday every Thursday. Sessions are £4 per, pay as you go.

Hide AdDonna said: “Tai Chi is an effective means of alleviating stress and anxiety, and is safe for older people as it does not put undue stress on the muscles and joints.
“It has been found to have positive effects on balance control, fitness and flexibility. Beginners are welcome.”
