Cyclists’ marathon effort for charity
The Henfield residents took on a series of bike rides and covered a total of 235 miles to raise funds for children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent.
Tracey Prescott and Adrian Hillman saw the completion of their latest challenge with the 75-mile London to Brighton Bike Ride on Saturday, September 21.

Hide AdTracey Prescott, general manager of Peewees Hairdressers of Brighton and Burgess Hill, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the support of other riders, spectators and sponsors in Henfield.”
Adrian Hillman, a director of Rushfields Plant Centre at Poynings, said: “It is the encouragement and tremendous support from others taking part, and our sponsors, which has spurred us on.”
The duo are part of the ‘777 Fundraising’ campaign that rallies residents for charity events including skydives, marathons and other challenges.
CLIC Sargent (Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood) is a cancer charity for children, young people and their families.

Area fundraising manager for CLIC Sargent, Dan Powell, said: “On behalf of all of the children and young people CLIC Sargent works with, and their families, a huge thank you to everyone who has supported 777’s amazing fundraising.
“We couldn’t carry on with our vital work without your support.
“Thank you and congratulations on a fantastic achievement.”
Tracey was joined by her sister Sam Bremner and brother-in-law David Bremner, with friends Donna Stephenson and Craig Clarke who also took part in the bike ride.

Hide AdHenfield 777 Fundraisers have also raised £8,000 for Henfield Leisure Centre with 49 treadmill marathons.
The money will go towards building a new soft play area for youngsters which will cost more than £250,000.
