This gives them an opportunity to use their customer care skills - they have been greeting customers, curating in the exhibition, and assisting customers with general enquiries. This gives them the whole work experience, and is a working partnership with another local organisation."
Penny added: "They also have the chance to deal with members of the public, and liase with the DLWP staff. On some things they are reporting directly to the DLWP staff, which is good."
Charlotte Pitts and Emma Cornford, both 16, were meeting and greeting at the door, as well as handing out forms having asked visitors to fill them out. Charlotte commented: "We have done a lot of function work before so this is just using the skills that we already have."
