Driver has lucky escape after car hits railings
The man, in his early fifties, was travelling Westbound on King Offa Way in a red Toyota at the time of the accident, which occurred at approximately 7.45am.
After hitting the railings by the Barrack Road underpass the car span round before coming to rest, facing the wrong direction, in the Westbound carriageway.

Hide AdFirst on the scene was retained fire-fighter Angellious Wood who was on his way to work at Bexhill fire station.
Angellious aided the casualty, organised traffic management and stayed at the scene until emergency and rescue services arrived.
Fire-fighters assisted paramedics to release the "medically trapped" casualty from his car on a backboard. The injured man was subsequently taken to the Conquest hospital.
No explanation has been given as to the cause of the accident.
