Farmer Jim to take things easier
Jim Moore, 65, came to Upper Stoneham Farm as a child in 1945 and attended Mountfield Road School.
During the school holidays he worked alongside his father and developed a passion for farming.

Hide AdIn August 1957 he followed in his father's footsteps and become a full-time farmer.
He fondly remembers the early days helping to look after the last working horses at the farm and the progression to his first tractor.
One of his most vivid memories was his first experience of driving a combine harvester through Ringmer and being overtaken by children on bicycles.
But Jim isn't ready to hang his Wellies just yet and hopes to carry on working part-time at the farm for many years to come.
