Felpham Art group has plenty to celebrate
The Felpham Art group held their annual awards ceremony on Monday, June 13, which showcased the artist flair of their 95 members.
The awards ceremony held at the Norfolk Centre in Arundel, was part of the club’s five-day annual exhibition.

Hide AdRosettes and cups were presented to winners and runners-up by club chairman Terry Collins, and guest- of-honour and one of the club’s presidents, Lady Caroline Marshall.
Mr Collins said: “We always have high standards of artwork but I think everyone would agree this year the standard has been exceptional.”
The paintings were judged by Patsy Moore – an acknowledged artist and teacher.
“Patsy viewed the paintings and said she was overwhelmed with number of high quality pieces of art in the exhibition,” said Mr Collins.

Hide AdWinner of the best flower painting Yvonne Burtenshaw said: “It is a brilliant feeling to win.
“It gives you a tingly feeling and you know you have succeeded.”
Mrs Burtenshaw’s winning painting Tulips took about 40 hours.
The club was formed in 1980 by Mary Clarkson, who wanted to give local artists a chance to work together and inspire other budding artists to join them.

Hide AdThe group will be holding four seafront exhibitions in Felpham.
The shows on the seafront, just to the east of Blakes Road, are on July 17 and 31 and August 14 and 28.
