Gull entangled in fishing lines
It flew into the wire in Shoreham Harbour as a group of men where fishing from the West Arm.
Cyril Crouch from Shoreham Beach watched as the bird was lifted up the harbour wall and a small cloth placed over its beak to stop it pecking.

Hide AdHe said: “This shows how situations change quickly down on the West Arm.
“A young herring gull flew into the lads’ fishing lines and had to be rescued. They then attempted to remove the fishing line from the gull’s wings.
“As you can see anything can happen down in Shoreham Harbour.”
Mr Crouch sent in two photographs, one showing the fishing line being removed and the second showing the bird flying off.
