Husband of make-up artist in court
Edwin Chenery-Wickens, 51, also known as David, appeared at Lewes Crown Court today (Thursday) accused of killing her in January.
Chenery-Wickens, of Duddleswell, near Uckfield, wearing black jeans and a white T-shirt, spoke only to confirm his name during a five-minute hearing.

Hide AdHe did not enter a plea to the charge of murder but his barrister Michael Harrison indicated Chenery-Wickens will be pleading not guilty at the next court hearing.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded in custody until July 18 by Judge Richard Brown.
Mrs Chenery-Wickens, 48, who worked on sets for The League of Gentlemen and Pride and Prejudice, disappeared on January 24.
Four months later, on May 15, her body was discovered in woodland six miles from her home in Uckfield.

Hide AdMrs Chenery-Wickens trained at the BBC make-up school and won an Emmy award for her work on the film Arabian Nights.
Her funeral took place at Christ Church, in Fairwarp, near Crowborough, on Wednesday.
