Icklesham

Dating from at least 1170 the Tower of our Parish Church is the oldest building in Icklesham and Winchelsea. The estimated cost of its essential repairs is £50000. Until a few weeks ago the fund stood at £26000 and then recent grants totalled £22500. So so close - and then this week a generous promise of £1500 meant the target had been reached. “Praise the Lord!” says Canon Hugh Moseley.

Beautiful singing, the fine language of the Prayer Book and worshippers from the three churches of our joint benefice made last Sunday’s Choral Evensong a memorable Service.
