Insurer appeals for nominations
Each June the insurance broker’s staff votes to support a local charity for a year (July – June). The company’s staff fund-raises throughout the year and also donates its time and expertise in support of the chosen charity.
To be eligible for nomination, a charity has to be:
• a legally registered charity
• without national funding
• in need of practical, professional and financial help
Jay Wootten, chair of Hastings Direct’s charity committee said: “As a company we are committed to our local community and seek to actively support it. When we adopt a charity of the year we look to do more than just fund-raise, we also offer practical hands on support in a number of areas from labouring, to IT, training and HR support.
