Members of the public, councillors, MPs and fellow campaigners have all given their backing to our A&E SOS campaign in the wake of the Coastal West Sussex Clinical Commissioning Group’s decision to award a £235 million musculoskeletal (MSK) contract to Bupa CSH Ltd, instead of the Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which oversees Worthing and St Richard’s hospitals.
We are seeking assurance from Secretary of State Jeremy Hunt that A&E and orthopaedic services at Worthing Hospital will be protected as a result of the CCG’s decision.
The public response has been fierce.

Hide AdEllie Coyle, 62, of Western Row, Worthing, said: “This will not enhance the service delivery but create a disjointed service without a clear through-flow and will be based upon profit before care.”
