New ideas at meeting of traders
Traders in Goring Road, Worthing, came together for the first time last week to explore how they could work together to attract more shoppers to the parade of shops.
The meeting was suggested by Mad Hatters Tea Parlour owner Emma Chapman and the Mans’ Shop’s Ellie Henderson and proved popular.

Hide AdEmma said: “It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm at our first meetings.
“We would encourage others to join us in our discussions. We were already working jointly with the Mans Shop and could see scope for some bigger projects.”
Ellie added: “The conclusion of the meeting seemed to be that there was a lot of scope for working together.
“We have agreed to meet monthly and we are submitting a bid to part-fund a pilot farmers market.”
The shops involved in the meeting were Alexander Jewellers, Goring Road Carpets, Regency Carpets, The Mad Hatters Tea Parlour, The Mans Shop, Thy Will be Done and Vision Express.
