Interestingly, none of the best selling Shades of Grey series by E L James made it into the East Sussex libraries top ten.
Entries which did make it include J K Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy and I’ll Find You by Richard Madely.
Senior East Sussex librarian Sally Parsons commented: “We select our stock carefully and are informed by publishers’ catalogues, booksellers and suppliers, trade and the popular press, television and film tie-ins as well as customer requests and reservations.
“It is heartening to see that we are providing popular books that people want to read.”
