Worthing man turns motivational challenge into fundraising effort for Alzheimer's Research UK
William Newnham, 21, ran 100k during the month and enjoyed it so much, he is now encouraging others to give it a try.
He was raising money in memory of Terry Ward, his grandad, who suffered from dementia.

However, after doing this challenge I set for myself the past month, I've really taken a liking to it and I encourage people to give it a try. It's really good for your fitness and your mental health.
"Initially, I wanted something to motivate me to actually run throughout the month and then I decided I could turn it into a fundraiser for a charity that's very close to me and my family.
"My grandad, Graddy, suffered from dementia for quite a few years before he sadly passed away in 2016. I thought February was a perfect time to do this run as it would've been his 76th birthday on the 4th."
William raised nearly £800 with Gift Aid and JustGiving told him he was in the top 15 per cent of fundraisers for February.

"100k might not seem that much to a seasoned runner, however, I'm the polar opposite. I was inspired to do this by Kitty Knight, who did 100k for Manchester Central Foodbank."
