"So, it is vitally important to keep on supporting the Picturedrome to ensure its continued survival.
"We have been delighted to already have topped 2,000 members on the Facebook group we set up, Save our Cinema '“ Bognor Regis, and for all the very positive and heartfelt comments we have received via that site. We are also grateful to all of those who have signed our petition."
The Observer previously reported the two-screen Picturedrome was at risk because of a rent row between its operator, Picturedrome Electric Theatre Co Ltd, and its owner, Bognor Pier Co Ltd.

He contacted the pier company, which is unconnected to the pier, when the last rent payment was due last Thursdayto offer to talk about the situation.
Mr Cunard, the Picturedrome's managing director as well as the centre manager of the Regis Centre, stated: "There is no further news yet regarding the Picturedrome.
"We can only hope that when the landlords realise how much the cinema is appreciated and enjoyed, and by so many, that they will negotiate with us and revisit the decision to increase the rent by such a significant amount."
