Ready steady at Bexhill college
Catering firm Scolarest were on hand to organise a cooking competition between a green and a red team using a set of fresh ingredients.
Each had to prepare and cook their own dish. After tasting and viewing the dishes, the audience then held up green or red cards at the end to decide who won.

Hide AdThe red team cooked an Italian pasta based dish with a tomato and vegetable sauce while the greens cooked a vegetarian Balti and rice. After 15 minutes of frantic activity, the greens were declared the winners.
The aim of the day was to highlight the fact that eating healthily can be fun and doesn't mean spending hours slaving away in the kitchen.
College Catering Manager Keith Wyatt said "It was a lot of fun and it helped to show how simple and enjoyable it can be to cook fresh, healthy food. Everyone really enjoyed the show"
