Regeneration plans for Hove synagogue revealed
The proposals for 29-31 New Church Road will comprise a new Orthodox synagogue as well as Jewish facilities including a kosher café, education facilities, a community centre and residential accommodation.
In collaboration with Work Avenue, a Jewish charity based in Finchley, a 'we work' facility to develop business and employment opportunities will also be on site.

Funding for the development will be made available by the Bloom Foundation, chaired by Tony Bloom, who grew up in Brighton and who also chairs Brighton and Hove Albion football club.
He stepped in after financial difficulties drew the Brighton & Hove Hebrew Congregation to consider selling most of the New Church Road site to developers.
At a meeting last month, Mr Bloom emphasised that the social, education and employment facilities proposed for the site would benefit the entire community.
