Seafront cycleway to be formally approved
The agreement for the route to be established from Gloucester Road to Outram Road comes into force at 10am.
Paul Wotherspoon, Arun District Council's member for the environment, is giving the final go-ahead.

It is hoped this will create safer conditions instead of giving cyclists a free route where they would be able to pedal quicker and on to which walkers could mistakenly wander.
Backing for the cycleway was given by councillors in January.
But the delay before Mr Wotherspoon's final approval was caused by the need to get the backing of Arun's insurance officer and insurance company to the cycleway proposals.

The scheme is a joint district and county council initiative. It will cost some 25,000 to establish with signs and markings.
