Seagull rescued in Worthing Herald car park
Two members of the public spotted the bird in the road, in Chatsworth Road, and called animal rescue charity WADARS.
Animal rescue officer Vikki Golds arrived to find the seagull had made its way into the Herald’s car park, before sneaking through the gate of the adjoining police station car park.

On average, WADARS receive ten to 12 calls-a-day regarding seagulls.
The rescued bird will be taken to Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital, in Sidlesham, where it will be looked after and fed until it is old enough to fly.
Vikki said birds are usually released on Worthing beach when the tide is out.
