Slimming World walk for children's charity
Members of the Bexhill branch did their best for Slimming World's nationwide Forty Miles For Smiles - but adapted it to 40 minutes instead. Smiles stands for 'Slimmers Making It a Little Easier for Someone' and on this occasion they were fundraising for the NSPCC Child's Voice Appeal.
The group walked from the Colonnade to Galley Hill and back.

Hide AdBranch leader Avril Earnshaw said; "The most impressive walker has to be one slimmer, who had an accident on a pair of roller boots just before the walk. Arm in sling, soldiering on, I heard yesterday that she had broken the arm in two places...Never complained once of pain, I think she was a real brick.
"Sadly though there were lots of members who didn't attend in the end, for one reason or other...but there was a good turnout of the fittest."
She added: "Margaret Miles-Bramwell, the Chairman and founder member of Slimming World has been awarded an honorary Masters degree by the University of Derby for her contribution to the health and wellbeing of millions of slimmers in the UK and in particular for her achievements in the science of behaviour change. I am very proud to be associated with the company."
