Southern Water fails to attend another meeting over flooding in Bognor
No-one from the company turned up at the latest Joint Western Arun area committee. But flood-hit residents from Nyetimber and Elmer Sands were in the audience.
Mel Harrison, from Edwen Close, repeated details of the problem after heavy rainfall which sees some of its elderly residents trapped in their bungalows for three days by flood water which laps at their front gardens.

Hide Ad"I can't believe Southern Water have not bothered to send a representative to discuss this with us tonight," he said.
"They just seem to be arrogant. They don't seem to care about these people.
"How can we be sure this is not going to happen again and again because there is no one here from Southern Water to reassure us?"
Committee chairman Brian Knight confirmed Southern Water was invited to the meeting.

Hide AdCounty, town and district councillor Simon McDougall said: "I am not at all happy Southern Water are not here."
Arun District Council services director Colin Rogers said: "I am also disgusted Southern Water have failed to turn up tonight."
He said Edwen Close would be placed in a surface water management plan being compiled by the council to set out priorities for dealing with flooding hotspots.
The company also shunned an Arun District Council meeting about flooding in June.
