Steyning yobs told 'Show respect or it will cost you dearly'
The move aims to build positive relationships between youth and adults and is the result of 10 months of work instigated by Steyning Parish Council. An action team was formed to implement strategies to combat unacceptable behaviour.
The focus for much of this behaviour had shifted to the Memorial Playing Field, where nearby residents have been subjected to foul-mouthed shouting late into the night, drinking until the early hours, vandalism, litter and people urinating against their properties.

Hide AdBarry New, who is chairman of the action team, was involved in similar issues around six years ago when the town tried to eradicate anti-social behaviour.
"There has been a lot of Nimbyism since then, with a negative approach and no constructive ideas to help solve problems," he said.
"This time we have taken a new approach."
