Thai restaurant bid for former Chichester Observer office

After Sainsbury’s pulled out of plans to convert the former Chichester Observer office into a supermarket, the Giggling Squid has submitted an application to turn it into a restaurant.
The first Giggling Squid opened in Brighton in 2002 and there are now the Thai tapas restaurants in Hove, Horsham, Guildford and further afield.

Hide AdAlternations have recently been made to the busy road and junction immediately outside the building, in Eastergate Square.
Many had already questioned if it was the correct location for a Sainsbury’s Local due to the high volume of traffic and lack of parking, before the supermarket chain pulled out in February, citing commercial reasons.
