‘Tighten up shed security’ - police
Between April 28 and May 4, police received reports that a number of outbuildings were targeted by thieves.
In Hooe, two lawnmowers were taken from the village church, a strimmer was stolen from a garden shed in Ewhurst Green and two forks went missing from a shed in Brightling Road, Robertsbridge.

Hide AdA garage was also broken into at Harts Green, Sedlescombe, but nothing was taken.
Sergeant Paul Masterson, of the Battle Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I would like to urge you all to consider the security of your garages and sheds.
“Criminals are targeting sheds, garages and other outbuildings for break-ins in the Battle area.
“Please take the time to property-mark your belongings which you store in your outbuilding, taking a note of the serial numbers of equipment and consider registering your items with Immobilise.com.

Hide Ad“Take the time to invest in a good quality lock and never leave outbuildings insecure.
“If possible, remove particularly valuable equipment overnight or failing that additionally lock valuable equipment to a fixed point to further secure it.
