Motorcyclist seriously injured in A259 collision near Hastings

The incident, involving a grey Ford Focus and a black Triumph Bonneville, happened on the A259 Winchelsea Road, near the junction with Chapel Lane, at about 3.50pm on Tuesday (June 9).
Police said the motorcyclist – a 57-year-old man from Kent – suffered serious pelvic injuries and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.

Hide AdThe Focus driver – a 26-year-old woman from Hastings – was uninjured, according to police.
The A259 was closed between Ore and Rye until about 9pm, according to Highways England.
